Dr. Jillian Nyquist
Credentials
Dr. Nyquist earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky in 2009, where she stayed to earn her dental degree at UK College of Dentistry. She completed her postgraduate orthodontic training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was chosen as an Andrew McArthur Brooks Fellow and earned her certificate in orthodontics and Master’s of Science degree from one of the most well respected orthodontic programs in the country. Dr. Nyquist is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a certifying body that honors orthodontists with only the highest standards of orthodontic care. She is one of only 25% of orthodontists in the nation to be board-certified and one of the only few in the greater Nashville area, reflecting her commitment to quality patient care.
Approach
Dr. Jillian Nyquist knew at a young age that she wanted to be an orthodontist, influenced by her positive experience with her own orthodontic treatment as an adolescent. She enjoyed the elevated confidence she gained after her orthodontic treatment, and knew she wanted to be able to offer this same impactful and life transforming care to others someday. Throughout the last nine years of practicing orthodontics, she has realized the importance of developing relationships with patients and families throughout their orthodontic journey. Once the decision was made to raise her children in Nolensville, TN, she knew she wanted to practice in this community they called home long-term.
Personal
Dr. Nyquist was born and raised in Paducah, KY. She has been married for over 12 years to her husband, James. They have three children: Brooks (8), Marcie (6), and Miller (4). Outside of the office, Dr. Nyquist enjoys running, cooking, hiking, spending time at the lake with her family, and cheering for her kids in all of the sports! She and her family are also involved members at Southpointe Community Church in Nolensville.
A Note from Dr. Nyquist
I feel very lucky to have been raised in an abundantly loving and supportive family. I’m also beyond grateful to be happily married and a mother to three sweet children. It is my ultimate desire to merge the importance of family in my personal life to my work environment. I am committed to treating patients the way I would want my own children treated and it is imperative to me that my patients and staff feel known, heard, valued, empowered, and part of a family. Hence the name Nyquist Family Orthodontics.
Our top priority at Nyquist Family Orthodontics is to provide the highest quality of thorough, individualized care, backed by personal engagement and empowerment along the way. We don’t just treat teeth, we treat people. We offer a small, boutique office setting that is made to make you feel at home and we guarantee ample one on one time with the Doctor. It is our desire that you leave our office with a smile on your face and that throughout your orthodontic journey, you continue to feel more confident and empowered to achieve all of your goals!
